Gold Coast Tourism GayComfort

The lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) market is one of the most valuable global tourism markets there is.

But consumers rate the welcome they receive as their number one concern when travelling.

Many LGBT travellers worry about how staff will react to them when they are visiting a tourist attraction or staying at a hotel.

The GayComfort certification program meets these concerns by delivering staff training online in four languages about the issues LGBT travellers want staff that serve them to understand. Staff train online at a time that suits them - and you. Each training takes around 30 minutes to complete, with the results of a short quiz at the end emailed to management, along with Out Now's recommendations for further improvement.

Becoming GayComfort certified is your property's way of showing your LGBT guests that your staff take the trouble to make their stay as welcoming as possible. You can expect to receive increasing levels of repeat and referral business by your membership in the program.

Being able to relax and feel comfortable is something other travellers take for granted. Now with GayComfort your gay guests can too.

Getting started is easy. Just fill in the form on this page and send it to us. You should then receive a confirmation email you will need to click on to verify your details. Then within 72 hours we will establish your complimentary GayComfort account and send you your Welcome Pack and credentials information.

This is all due to the generous support of Gold Coast Tourism.

Signing in for your complimentary GayComfort 2011 membership is easy.
